  1. this comment is not meant with any disrespect to the company, but i dable with the purchase and sale of coins, ranging from zar coins to present day. i find that most of my buyers would prefer to pay more or purchase coins that have been graded by NGC rather than yourself. I cannot understand this, when SANGS is a local grading company, grading local coins and thus would be in a more advantageous position to grade local coins.
what is your comment on this?

    1. Hi,

      Thanks for the enquiry,

The only way that we can answer your question is by giving you the facts.

NGC is an American coin grading company that has been in business for more than 25 years.

SANGS is a newly established South African coin grading company that has not even been in business for 1 year yet. It has taken more tham six years and a lot of effort and research to establish the company.
SANGS prefers not to grade American of other foreign coins, purely because we are not experts on foreign coins. However, we believe that the South African coin expert are not in America. Without doubt, the experts on South African coins are in South Africa and work with SANGS.

Because NGC has been in business for very much longer than we have, they obviously have a lot more credibility and a 25 year track record. SANGS is still a relatively unknown factor and it will obviously take a while to establish ourselves in the market.

We pride ourselves that we are a South African Company grading South African coins, in South Africa by South Africans.

    1. Good day Lawrence. We are busy developing a system where it can be verified on our website. But it’s a daunting challenge if taken into consideration how many coins we have graded so far.

Please be patient and check back regularly to see when this system will be implemented. For the time being, download our Population statistics to see what coins we have graded, and what quantities of each.

    1. Good Day Louis.
